How we work with families.

Every engagement follows the same five stages. What changes from student to student is the plan inside each one.

Typical length
12–48 months
Check-ins
Every two weeks during active periods
Parent updates
Written, in Chinese or English
Stage 1 of 5

Assess

A detailed review of grades, course rigor, test plans, activities and goals. We share an honest view of where the student is competitive, and the main risks.

  • Academic record and course review
  • Interests and possible majors
  • Family priorities: location, budget, timeline
  • A written assessment
Stage 2 of 5

Plan

A plan covering the full engagement — usually 12 to 48 months — with clear decisions for each term.

  • School list strategy by tier
  • Courses for each year or semester
  • Activity and project direction
  • Testing calendar
Stage 3 of 5

Build

The student does the work; we open doors and keep it on track. Research, internships and projects come from our network and are chosen to fit the student's direction.

  • Research mentorship
  • Internships and custom projects
  • Competitions and leadership
  • Regular check-ins and progress reports
Stage 4 of 5

Apply

Every application piece, reviewed by more than one advisor before it goes out.

  • Essays revised over several rounds
  • Recommender briefs
  • Interview preparation
  • Final review and submission tracking
Stage 5 of 5

Decide

Support after the results arrive, through to the first day of school.

  • Offer and scholarship comparison
  • Waitlist strategy
  • Visa and housing referrals
  • Course planning for the first term
Our principles

What guides our advice.

Direction comes first

We decide the path and the school strategy before anyone starts writing.

Risks are named early

GPA gaps, credit issues and visa constraints are discussed before the list is set.

Substance over packaging

The strongest applications are built on real coursework, work and relationships.

The student's voice

Students write their own essays. Our job is to help them say it clearly.

Start with a conversation.

Tell us where your student is now and what they are aiming for. We'll explain the options and what a realistic plan looks like — no obligation.
